The Standard

This page is noteworthy in that it gives us the first expansion of the Ashley Mueller character, who has popped up on the periphery of a couple of scenes before this one.  I like Ashley a great deal, and I planned to do more with her, but the limitations of the space I had led to her role getting dialled back a little.  She still has some cool stuff in the space she has, though.

This page is also noteworthy in that it is the first time we get the S-word popping up in the story.  After the previously-discussed advice from my local comic shop manager about cooling down with the language – based on my initial, profanity-heavy first issue – this was the first bit of potty-mouthed dialogue that slipped through the net.
