HE’S BACK! The Standard – beaten, but not broken – enters the fray!
This also marks the return of Jonathan Rector on art duties. As soon as I knew that Jon Rector and Will Robson would be splitting art duties on this chapter, I knew that this was the first page Jon drew. It’s a big moment, and the return of Jon on art would help give it the biggest impact.
I absolutely love this page. You guys did an excellent job of showing Gilbert’s quiet strength and resolve. And the way the broken bits of the building are pressing in towards him adds a lot of tension to the page.
