The Standard

One little detail I find funny is that Jonathan Rector spent ages developing this insanely detailed battlesuit back in Chapter 4, which I knew Zena Zarthos would be wearing down the line.  Jon didn’t read ahead – by his own choice, as he liked to be surprised by the plot twists – but my friend James Fairlie had, and I recall us having a few conversations back at the time Jon was drawing the battlesuit for issue #4, laughing about how Jon was going to have a nervous breakdown when he realised how often he’d have to draw that battlesuit during this battle scene.

However, as it turned out, Jon didn’t have to draw it… Will Robson did!  But Will made an effective job of streamlining the design enough to let him depict it in action from multiple angles.
