The Standard

This is fun.  I enjoy the little period details, like the old television set, the funky carpet design, and Gilbert happily smoking a cigarette with no fear of passive smoke.  I also like how both Gilbert and Alex have aged a little since their appearances in the issue #2 flashbacks.  So, we can see it’s not just a binary “past” and “present,” but more a case of the past gradually progressing towards the present.
