The Standard

Here’s another instance of “Jonathan Rector makes a character naked when their nakedness wasn’t specific in the script,” for those keeping count!  This time it happens to be a headless corpse, so you can also mark a tally that confirms I’ve kept my “at least one decapitation per chapter” quota.

I do enjoy The Standard and The Corpse working together, as they’re such an odd fit, literally heroes from two different eras jammed together.  And this is a case that The Corpse might just be better qualified to handle, given that The Standard is still struggling to view villains in darker, more savage terms than the outdated Zachary Zarthos barometer he’s still working from.
