Ouch!

Okay, so he may have been a “scum-sucking attorney” as we learned back on Page 11, but Zena Zarthos‘ lawyer Morris Colbert certainly didn’t deserve what he got… or did he?

For those answers, you’ll need to keep on reading, Bold Reader! This page concludes the second pulse-pounding chapter of THE STANDARD. But get ready… because issue #3 is where this series makes the monumental jump from a solid superhero story to one of the best superhero tales I’ve ever read.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I’ll put THE STANDARD #3 up there with any single issue of a superhero book published by any publisher in the last decade. It’s that good.

But, hey, by now I’m preaching to the converted. I had a blast filling in for John Lees this week in THE STANDARD commentary. If you want to connect with me on Twitter, my handled is @tylerjamescomic. (I’m always up for a good chat about THE STANDARD, comics, smallpress publishing… you name it.)

Best,
