The Standard

And here we discover the truth behind The Dawn: he is an imperfect clone of Alex Thomas.  Of course, the implications of this are that the villain of THE STANDARD is in fact a version of the modern day Standard, which the classic, original Standard must defeat.  It’s one of the key thematic conflicts of the story made literal.  That’s a dynamic I had some fun playing with as the story proceeds from here.
