The Standard

Hopefully you’ll recognise the two kids from the start of issue #2, who were snatched by Piper in his first appearance.  I’m sure you’ll be relieved to discover they’re alive and well!

I remember Jon having a lot of fun working on this page.  Those chains hanging around the cage were an effect he discovered with a tool on his new software at the time.  I love that shot of The Standard hugging the kids… seeing it now has made me think that really should have been a promotional banner for the Kickstarter.
