THE STANDARD is the story of two different men from two different eras who share the same heroic legacy. In the past, The Standard was the world’s greatest superhero. Today, he is a celebrity with his own reality TV show. But when a catastrophic event brings the two generations into collision, The Standard is forced to ask if superheroes still have a place in today’s cynical world.

Praise for THE STANDARD:

“This is the kind of rare gem that comics readers are lucky to find.”
– Comics Bulletin
“ComixTribe has successfully managed to put together a first-class creative team; if you’re limiting yourself to Big Two books, or even Big Four, this is the sort of comic that crops up occasionally to remind you how dumb that is.”
– Broken Frontier
“There’s something interesting going on here, something about innocence and cities and what it means to be a hero, and as it blends humour and introspection and an eye for the details that distinguished the comics we grew up with, “The Standard” sets a new standard for meta superhero stories.”
– Multiversity
“John Lees has created a superb story showing what happens not just behind, but after the mask.”
– Comic Book Resources
“This is a six-part story arc that introduces us to some compelling protagonists, makes us care about them, twists them back and forth, and then brings the whole thing home in a brilliantly satisfying way.  Cinematic storytelling with emotional heft and just the right amount of superhero cheese. Highly, highly recommended.”
– Big Comic Page
“The Standard has the heart of Rocky Balboa, the powers of a demigod, and the fashion sense and morality of Adam West’s Batman, and he’s all the more awesome for it.”
– Examiner
“Strong characters, AMAZING plot and an element of the real-world make The Standard one of the indie/small-press must-reads.”
– Comics Anonymous
